The key to our existence is chaos;
and spending an entire lifetime believing we can control it.

As a child, a major inspiration came from viewing astronomical photographs.
All of us contained on a tiny speck in the giant universe.
At first it felt magical and wonderful
but now it’s saddening to see how petty human life can be on earth;
people drawing lines in the sand, surrounded by their own dramatic illusions.
Our existence is so incredibly short and fragile for the ego to...
A culture’s state of being is reflected in the art it produces, or lack there of.
everyone will grow old, but not everyone will grow up.
The more you observe, the more you perceive.
You will understand and execute informed actions.
Often times the people who talk the most can’t perceive anything but themselves.
Words can be catalysts but are empty.

Doubt is the strongest weapon;
it can cripple an opponent by shaking their confidence
and when turned inward in can crumble the foundation of your actions.
Only those who gamble big and have the intel will conquer it.

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society: "Light the Night...
I have supported various charities in the past and several dedicated to fighting cancer. My father died from cancer when I was 13 and during my childhood I saw the chaos that cancer can cause on a person and their family, and now I have a stepfather who is currently battling cancer as well.
It isn’t something mysterious that happens to a few unlucky people. Chances are most of us will be...

There may come a time when a person must let go of long held beliefs and habits when they can no longer be trusted.
As all things are transient, this flexibility should come as a relief.
There isn’t such a thing as fearlessness
but what a person does when faced with fear
defines it’s influence.

Everything can have a plan of action. Focus on major structural elements and concepts and the rest will follow. Accidents and luck can only present themselves if the environment and situation are defined.

All of us are on the edge of death; we become too distracted to see it. Do not delude yourself into thinking time will favor you.
Right now is all the time you will ever really have or ever need.
Being lost is a natural way to experience life;
Anyone who is so immovably certain must be delusional.
Fashionable?
art is a business when it is intended to be sold. However it may be labeled.
To create value, different levels of value have to created by enforcing division.
It’s fashion. To make something desirable you have to create an impression that the product is valuable to many. The image is beyond the product, jumping into the abstract.
Possibly capitalizing on the impulse for vanity and...

Be a good negotiator.
All aspects of life, from personal relationships to professional endeavors involve negotiation.
It may take on subtle forms or as clear objectives, but it’s there.
Everyone wants something. We live in a give and take society.
People who start off a sentence saying “I don’t mean to offend”
usually follow with something offensive.
It would not be ideal productive behavior in society, however destruction is a trait of humanity. We all desire peace yet cannot resist the urge for destruction.
Or when I do my work I often feel compelled to destroy it in someway, and often it feels good, even liberating.
Truthfully, the work is already dying as I create it. Is that not the story of life? Some forms are clear as glass, and some...

If a child was suddenly given complete mastery over paint and brush, how would he paint?
I wonder if there would be honesty and less pretension.
Take a point in adulthood and a point in childhood;
fold together until everything in between begins to collapse into one.
Things that happened long ago suddenly connect to the present and the linear illusion of time becomes transparent.
There really is just as much positive in this world as there is negative.
The negative only tends to take center stage most of the time;
funny
The best thing I did today was
destroy what I did yesterday.
It seems true that a person needs to be a little insane to do great things.
Sanity forces one to stay on well worn tracks.
Many of the best ideas are born out of necessity,
created with limited resources.
I try to leave on a high note;
Even when a loss feels inevitable, finding even the smallest gain will help carry some momentum forward.
Momentum is everything in so many situations.
Blindness, ignorance, and hypocrisy seem to be very strong human traits.
Actions need to made when they are called for,
but hate will always create hate
The truth might not always taste so good,
but it will be healthy in the long run

When I was a child I wanted to draw like an adult.
Now that I’m an adult I wish I could draw like a child.

Going halfway never got anyone to where they wanted to go.
Beyond all human pain, delusion, and confusion
there must be a place of absolute peace.
This peace might be glimpsed after extreme circumstances.
There exists something immovable underneath all the noise
and human constructs.
Most of the artwork I’ve seen drawn by young children are far more brilliant and inspiring than anything I’ve seen in galleries.
